It’s built for professional video workflows where maintaining signal integrity over distance is critical, including UHD/4K SDI transport in studio, OB, and installed environments.

Using a single-core (single LC fiber strand) approach, this 12G-SDI over fiber extender set supports runs up to 10 km and includes the required 12G SFP module. With a 12G-SDI input plus loop out on the TX and dual 12G-SDI outputs on the RX, it integrates cleanly into routing, monitoring, and distribution setups while keeping the footprint small and power draw low.

Key Features

Micro-Compact Size: Space-saving TX/RX pair for tight racks, carts, and field kits.

12G-SDI Input With Loop Out: 1x 12G-SDI input plus loop out for local feed-through on the transmitter.

Dual 12G-SDI Outputs: 2x 12G-SDI outputs on the receiver for flexible distribution.

LC Single Mode Fiber: Designed for long-distance optical transmission using LC single mode connectivity.

Single Core Transmission: Uses a single LC fiber strand to simplify fiber runs.

12G SFP Module Included: Includes the 12G SFP module required for optical operation.

Up To 10 km Reach: Supports long-range 12G-SDI optical transmission up to 10 km.

Technical Specifications

Signal Conversion: 12G-SDI to Optical

TX Video Input: 1x 12G-SDI

TX Loop Out: 1x 12G-SDI Loop Out

RX Video Outputs: 2x 12G-SDI

Fiber Type: LC Single Mode

Fiber Core: Single Core (Single LC fiber strand)

Maximum Transmission Distance: Up to 10 km

SFP Module: 12G SFP module included

Power Level: 7V to 16V DC

Power Consumption: 3.1 W (Max 4 W)

Operating Temperature: 0°C to 55°C

Humidity: 0% to 95% RH (Non-condensing)

Signal Level: 800 mVp-p ± 80 mV

Dimensions: W 80.0 mm x L 59.4 mm x H 22.5 mm (3.15 in x 2.34 in x 0.89 in)

Weight: 105 g

Warranty: Limited 2-Year Manufacturer Warranty

What's Included

1x Digital Forecast UHD M_OTR TX

1x Digital Forecast UHD M_OTR RX

2x Power Adapter
