Of all the late '60s era Stratocasters, the “maple cap” fingerboard models are among the most sought-after. Players love them for their smooth, glassy highs, while collectors chase them down for their rarity and vibe.
Working directly with the Fender Custom Shop, Alto Music’s guitar team is pleased to offer this stunning ’69 reissue Strat with a few special twists—
A reverse headstock and Olympic White finish drips with an authentic “Woodstock” era Mojo, that will keep getting better with age. In time, the lightly aged “Oly-White” nitrocellulose finish will transform into a beautiful buttercream color, just like a true 1969 Strat.
A bone nut and vintage medium fret wire help fretted, and open strings ring out clear and balanced. A chunky ‘69 U-shaped Fender neck shape adds tone and fills the hand without being too deep for comfort. Under the hood, three hand-wound ’69 Fender Custom Shop pickups are matched with modern 5-way blade 10% taper CTS pots.
